On Wednesday, February 28 the Flaming French Fries learned that their hard work and dedication to coding paid off!  They will be among the 50 selected robotics teams competing worldwide in the 6-8 years age group to advance to the Invitational Round and contend for a $5,000 STEM grant.

Students have been working diligently every Friday afternoon since September to complete Missions and Challenges with the school’s Dash and Dot Robots.  Evidence of their success was loaded to a virtual site and compared with over 1,000 other teams.  Coding is a new language for our students that encourages 21st –century learning, helps develop computational thinking skills, builds teamwork and community spirit, and it is FUN!

Members of The Flaming French Fries are: (Back) Jordan Williams '28, Jack Bellware '28, Cody Buchzeiger '28, Noah Galle '28, and (Front) Zoe Batts '28
