Students in the Upper School Academic Games Club participated in the 2019 Academic Games Leagues of America (AGLOA) in Orland in April. Shanshan Ye '22 and Dillan Lau '22 participated as part of a Northville team and competed against over 30 teams of 9th and 10th graders from all over the United States.
Shanshan Ye received the following awards :
Sweepstakes: 3rd place - team
On-Sets (Math): National Champion - team
Linguishtik: 2nd place -team
On-Sets (Math): 4th place - individual
Dillan Lau received the following awards:
Sweepstakes: 3rd place - team
On-Sets (Math): National Champion - team
Linguishtik: 2nd place
Equations (Math): National Champion - individual
Linguishtik: Perfect score - individual
Sweepstakes: 7th place - individual
Also competing in the AGLOA were sixth graders, Bryan Chen and Katherine Chen (not siblings). They competed with over 270 players from different states and their team "NMCCS Null Set Required to Win" earned the following awards:
Elementary Team Sweepstakes: 2nd place
Elementary Equation: 2nd place
Elementary Propaganda: 2nd place
Elementary On-Sets: Semifinalist
Elementary Linguishtik: Honorable Mention
