Michigan Leagues of Academic Games Super Tournament

The Upper School Academic Games Club students, Liana Lau '20, Shanshan Ye '22 and Dillan Lau '22 attended Michigan Leagues of Academic Games Super Tournament which was held in Grand Rapids from March 13 to March 15, 2019. The DCDS students particpated as members of different Northville teams and competed with over 200 regional tournament winners across the state. Each team was composed of five students. Each of their teams won a number of awards and they are qualified for the 2019 AGLOA National Tournament which will be held in Orlando, Florida in April. Congratulations!

  • Liana Lau received the following team awards:
    WFF 'N Proof (Symbolic Logic): 3rd
    Propaganda and Current Events (Language): Honorable Mention

  • Shanshan Ye received the following team awards:
    Equations (Math): State Champion
    WFF 'N Proof (Symbolic Logic): 2nd
    Propaganda (Language): 3rd
    On-Sets (Math): 2nd Division

  • Dillan Lau received the following team awards:
    WFF 'N Proof (Symbolic Logic): State Champion
    US Presidents (Social Studies): 2nd
    On-Sets (Math): 3rd
    Equations (Math): 3rd
    LinguSHTIK (Language): 3rd

Academic Games (AG) is a series of games designed to stimulate and test student knowledge in a variety of subjects. Students develop proficiency and confidence through participation in games of math, English, social studies, and logic.
