Our men’s and women’s varsity track and field teams had a phenomenal showing at the Division II state finals meet at Zeeland Stadium on Saturday.
Congratulations to our women’s 4x200m relay state champions: Jasmine Powell, Taylor Aibana, Ahvon Mitchell, and Alexis Officer!
And to our women’s 4x100m relay state champions: Jasmine Powell, Destini Lewis, Ahvon Mitchell, and Alexis Officer!

- Ahvon Mitchell, 2nd place 100m hurdles
- Alexis Officer, 2nd Place 200m; 3rd place 100m
- Men’s 4x400m relay team – Ahlon Mitchell, Pano Cardasis, Tino Cardasis, Michael O’Brien – 5th place
- Isaiah Johnson, 6th Place 110 hurdles
- Men’s 4x100m relay team – Marcus Sheppard, Terrell Payne, Ryan Mayhew, Darrin King – 7th place
- Terrell Payne, 8th place 200m
Additionally, we are very proud of:
- Our Men’s 4x800m Relay Team of Scott Greenhalgh, Chaitanya Manam, Tony Zhao, and Michael O’Brien, who ran a season-best time and finished 15th
- Darrin King, whose semi-final time for the 110 hurdles placed him 10th overall
- Our Men’s 4x200m relay team of Anthony Ammori, Terrell Payne, Ahlon Mitchell, and Darrin King, who finished 13th
- Ahlon Mitchell, who placed 14th in the 400m.
Our women’s team finished 3rd overall in the state finals, while our men’s team ranked 18th (out of 60). Full meet results are available here:
