Students in Mrs. Charlton's 4th grade enriched reading class participated in a final class project in which they read Marie in the Shadow of the Lion and then communicated with the author, Jerry Piasecki. The students were able to send their questions to Piasecki via the Padlet software, who in turn responded. The questions ranged from experiences in his personal life to characters and plot decisions of the book. Jerry Piasecki is originally from Detroit and now works for the United Nations.
